As our winter season winds down, the activities at Breckenridge are ramping up.
Spring skiing is some of the best skiing you can experience. We frequently get big storms dropping fresh snow on us. The weather is warming up so being out on the mountain is that much more pleasant. And corn snow is as delightful as powder if you ask some skiers.
The month of April is jam packed with activities for everyone. A mountain-wide scavenger hunt takes place for teams of up to four people on Saturday the 5th followed by the Mascot Olympics on Sunday the 6th. You can cheer on racers in the ‘Imperial Challenge’ bike ascent/descent race on Saturday the 12th. Racers will ride bikes up to the base of peak 8, then don skis or snow shoes and climb the mountain only to turn around ski back down to the base of peak 8.
Free concerts will be staged at the base of peak 8 on the 12th, 13th, 18th and 19th featuring national acts: Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Gin Blossoms, Yonder Mountain String Band and Blues Traveler.
All of these activities take place at the ski area and make for fun filled days. Make your spring skiing more fun by reserving your Breckenridge ski rentals ahead of time from A Racer’s Edge. Our demos will help you get the most out of your visit to the mountain as they are always freshly tuned and can be chosen to match the particular conditions for the day.
You can get all the details and updates online at the Breckenridge Resort website, your official site for Spring Fever in Breckenridge.
